Tuition and Fees
Tuition for the 2026-2027 academic year is $59,760. Each incoming student is assessed a one-time New Student Fee of $1,850. For information on additional fees and incidental charges, including textbooks and Parents Association dues, see the Schedule of Fees.
NCS offers a number of payment plans to accommodate the varying needs of our families:
- Option 1: Full payment by July 1
- Option 2: Payment of 65% in July and 35% in January (this plan has a $150 deferred-payment fee)
- Option 3: A 12-month, interest-free payment plan, beginning in May and continuing through April (this plan has a $150 deferred-payment fee)
 | Education is enhanced by diversity, and one of our strategic goals is to create an increasingly inclusive school. NCS provides need-based financial aid. NCS has provided over $6.2 million in financial aid for the 2026-2027 school year. For 2026-2027, 25% of the student body received awards ranging from 5% to 98%; the average award was $41,560. NCS also makes awards for textbooks and for extracurricular activities. We invest in the power of young women and believe that an NCS education should be available to students with ability and promise, regardless of their financial circumstances. Financial aid is awarded on the basis of demonstrated financial need, which we define as the difference between a student's educational expenses and the family's resources. NCS does not offer academic, artistic, or athletic scholarships. |
How to Apply
All families who feel that paying for NCS would create financial hardship are encouraged to apply for aid. If in doubt, apply. All financial aid information is kept confidential and separate from student records. Applications for financial aid are considered after an admission decision has been reached. NCS uses recommendations from a financial assessment company called Clarity in determining eligibility for financial assistance. Applicants for financial aid need to create an account with Clarity.

| Can you consider our application for financial aid if we have not provided all the requested information? |
| No. We cannot grant financial aid to a family if the application is incomplete. Clarity will notify you if your application is incomplete or any supplemental information is required. |
| If I have more than one student applying to NCS, how do I schedule their interviews at the same time? |
| Because every applicant is different and we want to evaluate them holistically, we will consider interviews of this nature on a case-by-case basis and based on availability. For more information, contact Beth Gregory, Associate Director of Admissions at bgregory@ncs.org. |
| How are my financial status and ability to pay evaluated if I am separated or divorced? |
| NCS believes that the primary responsibility for paying for a student’s education rests with parents having legal custody of the student. Financial aid is awarded based on ability to pay, not willingness to pay. Therefore, it is the responsibility of all parents with legal custody to complete all steps in the application process. | If my student received financial aid for one year, will we automatically receive aid each of the following years? |
| No, you must reapply for financial aid every year. As long as your family’s financial situation does not change significantly, you will likely continue to qualify for a similar level of assistance. |
| Does NCS offer a sibling discount? |
| NCS does not offer a sibling discount. If enrolling two students in an independent school presents a financial burden to your family, we encourage you to apply for financial aid. |
| How much does it cost to apply for financial aid? |
| The fee for completing your Parents' Financial Statement is $65 (no matter how many schools you are applying to). NCS has a limited number of fee waivers available for families; please contact Jessica North Macie, Director of Enrollment and Financial Aid at jnorthmacie@ncs.org, for more information. |
| Do we have other options if our family's full need is not met? |
| We offer payment plans that may help make payments easier on your family’s budget. You may also look for other forms of financial assistance that may be available through your place of employment, community organizations, or local foundations. |
