What I enjoy most about teaching at NCS is helping students see science as a way to explore the world with curiosity and confidence.

In my classroom, questions lead to discovery, and every experiment becomes a chance to think critically and creatively. I love watching students grow, not just as scientists, but as thoughtful young people who support one another and take pride in their learning. NCS truly fosters a community where each girl feels seen, valued, and inspired to thrive.

History is really a way to teach students to think about the world around them and about their own role within it in complex ways.

In class, office hours, and community times, I challenge students to question their assumptions, to come to informed decisions, to lean into productive disagreement, and to convey their ideas in the most convincing way possible. My goal is for students to leave my class more confident in their ideas, in the power of their voice, and in their ability to make a positive impact in the world.

I want my students to feel a genuine sense of happiness and anticipation when they arrive each day, both because of the community we build together and because of the learning they will experience. I want them to leave NCS each day with a sense of accomplishment, whether they have mastered a new skill or are still proudly grappling with a difficult concept.

In my classroom, we are a team, moving through grammar, vocabulary, writing, and literature with intention and joy. I show my students why this work matters so they are motivated to apply their new knowledge outside of my classroom. Ultimately, I strive to make my classroom a place students genuinely love being in, where they are challenged and supported as they experience meaningful growth.
