    Devon Williams
    Social Sciences Teacher
    Wake Forest University - BA
    Bio

Devon is a dedicated educator with almost a quarter century of experience in independent schools, including more than a decade at NCS. During her tenure at NCS, Devon has embraced a diverse variety of roles: class sponsor, head coach of the varsity swim team, Governing Board Faculty Representative, co-director of Prep for Success, member of the admissions committee, and prospective student interviewer. Currently, she serves as the Dean of the Class of 2025, Advisor, and History teacher.

Devon’s true passion lies in teaching. She finds immense joy in guiding students through the intricacies and nuances of historical analysis and witnessing their excitement as they grasp the significance of history for the first time.

A proud graduate of the Agnes Irwin School, an all-girls school just outside Philadelphia, Devon’s path to teaching was non-linear. Yet, it’s no surprise that she’s found her niche in a community shaped and led by formidable women and girls. Her students and advisees would describe her as honest, intuitive, and loyal, with a dash of sarcastic wit resulting from her Philadelphia upbringing.
