National Cathedral School seeks a detail-oriented, flexible, and organized Payroll and Benefits Specialist who believes in the power of young women and is dedicated to nurturing their curiosity and potential. This full time position will prepare and review payrolls; process staff onboardings, benefits, time off, compensation changes, etc.; and complete other non-staff required documentation.
The ideal candidate:
Possesses a Bachelor’s degree
Demonstrates proficiency working with HRMS systems, spreadsheets, and other related systems
Responsibilities include:
Preparing and reviewing payroll
Managing the employee onboarding and termination processes and processing benefits, time off, compensation changes, training, and other related personnel matters
Ensuring the school's HRMS system (currently UKG, transitioning to Paylocity on Jan 1, 2026) is accurate and updated
Preparing and issuing required reports to regulatory authorities, employees and management
Other accounting duties may be assigned.
Salary and Benefits:
The full time salary for this position is $70,000-$80,000. The exact salary is determined based on education and experience. Benefits available include medical, dental, life insurance, retirement plan with a school contribution, free parking or transit benefits, and lunch without charge (when school is in session), as well as support for professional development experiences. Additional stipends are available for coaching middle or upper school sports.
