US Writers Day

The Upper School welcomed author and writing educator Vicki Valosik for its annual Writer’s Day. Valosik, who is an instructor at Georgetown University and the author of Swimming Pretty: The Untold Story of Women in Water, visited English classes and led small group writing workshops. In the afternoon, she addressed the entire Upper School, sharing the history of synchronized swimming and its intersection with women’s rights and recognition in sports.
