Upper Schoolers Build Shelves, Stock Library for Local Students

Duchess J. '25, Quinn V. '26, Layla H. '26, and Ariana C. '27 attended the Student Civic Leadership Conference sponsored by the National Association of Independent Schools. During the summit, the students developed a plan to to build and stock a library of over 500 books for unhoused middle school students.They have since worked with Director of Community Service Ms. Moreland, and a senior manager at Sasha Bruce Youthwork to realize their plan. With the help of Aya B. '26 and Theater Teacher Mr. Lampasona, the students installed the books and shelves at a Sasha Bruce shelter on Capitol Hill.
