Grade 6 Learns about Universal Design for Car Safety

As part of their study of the physics of forces and Newton's Laws of Motion, Grade 6 scientists were challenged to design a car with modern structural safety features for people experiencing moderate mobility challenges. The project, which included sessions in the makerspace, covered the gamut of STEM disciplines as students gained valuable documentation, collaboration, and communication skills. They also had a lot of fun!
