Bell Ringers Accomplish Rare Feat

To commemorate NCS's 125th anniversary, 10 bell ringers completed a full peal on the afternoon of Oct. 17. The Cathedral typically hosts only three to four peal attempts every year, for special occasions, such as Easter, New Year's Day, and Independence Day. The band successfully rang a specially composed peal of Stedman Caters, consisting of 5,125 consecutive, non-repeated changes in three hours and 32 minutes. Three alumnae, Cecily Rock '71, Beth Sinclair '81, and Haley Barnett '97, were among the ringers. Robert Gibson, husband of alumna Catharine Gibson '82, and Alex Taft, Program Manager, Web & Data Systems, were also in the band. Congratulations on this successful effort!
