Exploring a Private School for Your Daughter’s Elementary School Years? Start Here.
.
If you’re beginning to think about private school options for your young daughter (and are over a year away from applying), you’re not alone. The Enrollment Management Association, in a survey of over 3,000 families, found that over half (58%) of families spend at least 18 months considering the right fit for their child.

At National Cathedral School, we know that finding a school where your daughter will thrive and build a strong foundation for her future is very important. We also know that there are many good options in the DMV (with often an overwhelming amount of information online to sort through). Parents of Kindergarten through Second Grade girls often ask us for help as they begin their journey.

In response, we’re holding an informal NCS coffee designed to give you a helpful, low-pressure place to start.
.
Join Becca Jones, Head of Lower School (Grades 4-6) and Jessica North Macie, Director of Enrollment and Financial Aid, for a conversation about what to think about now and what to expect in the years ahead:

Over coffee, we’ll share:
  • Our approach to the Lower School experience at NCS
  • How we support and celebrate girls in their childhood while also making sure they are ready for everything their future holds
  • Why Fourth Grade is a meaningful entry point at NCS
  • A simple overview of the admissions process so you know what’s to come
  • A brief tour of the Lower School
We’ll also answer your questions. You’ll leave with a clearer sense of the landscape and next steps. There’s no pressure, just perspective from our experiences.
