As part of their study of the Holocaust, students in Grade 7 undertook a multi-disciplinary project. In addition to reading "The Diary of a Young Girl" by Anne Frank and visiting the National Holocaust Museum, they headed to the makerspace to create memorial stones, with symbols, words, and images, in remembrance of the millions of lives lost in the Holocaust. The Grade 7 students also composed messages about fighting injustice that they formed into a paper chain. These elements came together in a powerful work of art.
