Grade 6 Learns about Chesapeake Bay Ecosystems on Overnight Trip

Grade 6 students traveled for three days and two nights to three different locations on the Chesapeake Bay to learn about the unique ecosystems and the impact of humans. They studied the importance of marshes on coastal health and erosion, salinity levels throughout the Bay, and many other topics relevant to the health of the Chesapeake. They also had time for mucking in the mud, as well as bonding with their classmates and creating a new treat: Oreo s’mores!
