NCS Ties WCAC Foe Holy Cross

The NCS Eagles battled a very talented Holy Cross Tartans team on Friday afternoon. The first half found the Tartans up in shots on goal but the scored remained 0-0 going into halftime. It didn't take long for the Tartans to capitalize on a bouncing ball in the box to go ahead 1-0 in the second half. After being down a goal the Eagles would go after the Tartan back-line and secure the tying goal. Tessa Porter '16 took a quick throw in to Nat Nigro '16 who found a streaking Marta Sniezek '15 inside the 18 yard box. Sniezek '15 would take a touch then slot the ball underneath the Tartans goalkeeper. There were opportunities on both sides for the remainder of the game but neither team was able to capitalize. NCS heads into conference play on Tuesday 9/9, at Bullis.
