Varsity Soccer Continues Their Streak

The Eagles won their third ISL game over rival Georgetown Day School with two goals from Marta Sniezek '15. The team found themselves down at halftime by a goal that was scored in the 28th minute by GDS. In the second half, the Eagles collected themselves and started putting pressure on the GDS backline. In the 45th minute, Hazel Horvath '17 sent a beautiful corner into the box and Marta Sniezek '15 was able to head it into the back of the net for the 1-1 tie. Much of the second half was back and forth until the 60th minute when GDS was awarded a PK on a NCS handball in the box. The Hoppers missed the PK which kept the score at 1-1 until the 75th minute when NCS was awarded a PK when Sniezek '15 was fouled in the box. Sniezek '15 converted the PK for the 2-1 lead. The last few minutes the Eagles were able to hold off the Hoppers for the win.
