Students Teach Students: Upper School Coders Lead Hackathon
At the end of February, Girls Who Code (GWC) hosted NCS’s annual STEAM event for students in Grades 5-12. This year, Upper School GWC instructors guided peers through programming in Python, Scratch, and JavaScript and ran sessions in prototyping, cryptography, and artificial intelligence. Student coders tried their hands at new technology, “hacking” spaces, and using design thinking. Robot programming and a cardboard building contest were also on the schedule.
