The primary goal of the World Languages department is to develop the fundamentals of vocabulary, grammar, and syntax, while fostering the skills required for language study. Language classes in the Lower School offer a strong focus on developing oral proficiency. Students practice speaking in class while improving their writing and grammatical skills.
