Upper School Artists Recognized in a Variety of Media

Two NCS students are recipients of Tanaka Visual Art Fellowships. This summer, Ayomi M. '27 will travel to learn about Sri Lankan batik fabric making, while Margaret E. '28 will study glass blowing in the birthplace of the American glass industry.

Congratulations to Matilda G. '27 who won first place in the Painting & Mixed Media category at the Winter Independent Schools Juried Exhibition at Stone Ridge School of the Sacred Heart. Other exhibiting artists included Mia S. '26, Alice A. '27, Ayomi M. '27, Sophia N. '28, and Sahana B. '28.

Three NCS students won awards at the Nora School Photography Festival. Juniper F. '29 won first place in the Darkroom Processes category for her photograph titled, "Distances." Josie L. '29 won first place in the Places category for her photograph titled, "The Remains." Siena Y. '28 won honorable mention in the Things category for her photograph titled, "A Box of Dusty Marbles."
